I have one question for you: can you feel the presence of the Lord at FBC Woodville? You should be able to…I do. It has been a very busy January for our youth. You can learn a lot about a person’s character by observing them during times of change, and the last couple of months have been witness to many changes in our youth group. I have been very impressed by our students’ willingness and eagerness to not only accept the modifications to the program, but for the most part, embrace them.
The “FUEL” series on Wednesday night has been well received by everyone. Bible study CAN be fun! So far, we’ve covered an introduction to the Bible, the Creation, and the Fall. Coming soon are Cain and Abel, Noah and the Flood, and the Tower of Babel.
Discipleship Training and AREA 51 are also successful. Have you noticed that we’ve been seeing 12-14 attending our evening services? Praise God! Never underestimate the power of pizza and fellowship.
I have been stressing three personal attributes to the youth: 1) Honor; 2) Respect; and 3) Accountability. In addition to Salvation and Sanctification, I can think of nothing as important as these.
A Youth Covenant has been presented and should be read, understood, and signed by any youth (and their parents) attending our department’s activities. Its purpose is to provide a safe, comfortable learning environment for everyone.
I want to extend my thanks to everyone that is supporting our Youth Ministry.
“Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.” 1 Peter 2:11-12
